San Francisco-based ensemble, "LNQ," enters the
scene with a delightful take on the traditional string quartet:
its founder/lead player, Ben Brussell, plays the mandolin!
Combining the mandolin's sound with those of the standard
violin, viola and cello creates a refreshing, fascinating
blend that has been delighting audiences since 2001. Offering
selections from Classical to Americana to Original Works
to Hollywood Film Music (Ben's grandfather, Max Kralnick,
was the key session mandolinist on many blockbuster films)...and
even offering vocals!...the group is a guaranteed crowd
pleaser...and as an additional feather in its cap, it is
also affiliated with the distinguished Chamber Music America

PRINCE/SF'S SYMPHONIC ARTISTS DEBUT!
____________________________________
We are proud to be the exclusive representation in the
symphonic market for Nayo Ulloa, master kena player; Damien
Masterson, concert harmonica player; and Francie Dillon,
children's recording artist.
Ulloa's varied, critically acclaimed, international background,
highlighted by a guest appearance with operatic superstar
Fredericka Von Stade and an invitational performance at
The White House (!), includes the recent world premiere
of legendary Peruvian maestro Jaime Diaz Oriheula's "Machu
Picchu Concerto," the first-ever symphonic piece written
for kena, the Andean flute, composed especially for Nayo.
Masterson, "a certified treasure" (JazzTimes)
established in jazz circles as a chromatic harmonica player
specializing in Brazilian and Cuban music, has recently
broadened his musical palette to include a wide selection
of titles from classical and operatic spheres, as well as
original works and commissions. The result is nothing short
of exquisite.
Francie's popular, national-award-winning "Toy Box"
CD, and show, have been delighting youngsters for years.
Now, this "wonderfully imaginative," "magnetic
performer" (Tribune Media Services, Sacramento Bee),
heard and seen on radio and TV, offers a completely orchestrated
version of her show that will entrance whole new generations
of youngsters and the young at heart.
